Distance cycled- 95 kilometres.
Duration – 6 hours.

It was an auspicious beginning to a arduous journey as Sunita Singh Choken took a “parikrama”of the Vivekanand Memorial Rock and sought the blessings of the Gods of the sea .
“I want send a message to all specially the girls that you should dare to dream and have the courage to fulfill your dreams as each one of you has the potential” said Sunita while addressing an audience of four hundred plus who had gathered at the Vivekananda Ashram in the wee hours of morning to flag off this expedition for a noble cause. Mr Hansraj representing Omni Sangha an NGO working towards betterment of humanity commended the determination of this young girl who is passionate about the cause of educating the girl child. Omni Sangha has raised funds for this expedition and will be constantly providing administrative support.
On reaching Trivandrum Sunita still looking energetic and fresh cheerfully said “Todays journey was an amazing experience and I met so many people as I cycled my way through the small hamlets“
